This piece was created for my PhD portfolio and was a culmination of elements of my research, including collaboration, Javanese cultural concepts and an exploration of my own creative identity.

An emotional and physical journey.

Parts of the music was composed by me, and traditional Javanese and Balinese music is also used. All films were made by me, and the original film of Ni Made Pujawati dancing was used with permission.

The music heard here was performed by Gamelan Sekar Petak in 2014, with singers Cathy Eastburn, John Pawson, Jon Hughes and Ni Made Pujawati. Ni Made Pujawati was also the dancer.

It was also performed by Southbank Gamelan Players at the Meltdown Festival at the Southbank Centre in 2015, with Cathy Eastburn, John Pawson and Jonathan Roberts singing.
